Clive Palmer (Australian mining magnate) has an idea to create the first replica of the legendary liner. His company “Blue old-line” will take on the project. “Titanic” 2 will sail in 2018. The ship will look exactly like the original one. Everything will be made in authentic retro look.
“Titanic 2” will not pass through the Atlantic. It will start its journey from China’s eastern province – Jiangsu and will head to Dubai. It is still not clear how much will the ticket prices be. According to some sources, some impatient adventurers are willing to pay even 1 million for the experience.
There will be an old Turkish bath and a gym with sauna and spa treatments. The 840 cabins can accommodate 2,400 passengers and 900 crew members. The ship will offer three classes of service, just as the original one. There will also be a men’s cigar club on board. Mr. Palmer has tried to copy everything you have seen in the Hollywood version of the film.
We hope Titanic 2 will not meet the fate of its predecessor!
But was there ever “Titanic”?
Is it possible one of the greatest tragedies in the seafaring to be a fraud?
Built by “Harland and Wolff” in Belfast, Titanic was the biggest ship in the world. Many claimed that it cannot sink, until unfortunately on April 15, 1912 it proved the opposite. On April 10, 1912 the ship is launched out of Southampton, UK and headed to New York City, USA for its first voyage. After five days of sailing, Titanic collided with an iceberg and sank in 3 hours. In the tragic accident 1 503 people died and 705 managed to escape.
Recently, rumors are spreading that the legendary Titanic never really sank because it was replaced. The rumor says it was changed in the last moment with Olympic (another ship of the same company). Olympic had a large hole, caused by crash with another ship.
This was the reason why the insurance company refused to insure the ship. Here are the key points, according to gossip. Olympic was mended and replaced with the already insured Titanic. All of the interior was replaced in a week. According to the company’s plan, the ship had to sink (so that they can get the insurance), but without victims. What something went wrong!
Whether this is true, remains yet to be found out.
