About the origin of our icy favorite treat – ice cream, were written many stories. One version, which sounds the most accurate is that its native country is ancient China. Chinese emperors were the first people known to have eaten ice cream. They mixed snow and ice brought from the mountains, and adding the mixture of oranges, lemons and pomegranate grains, as well as wine and honey.

Europe learned for the frozen dessert in the 13th century from the famous traveler Marco Polo (1254-1324), who brought the recipes from China.
