The former host of the British car show Top Gear Jeremy Clarkson caused another scandal after blowing up his own house in the county of Oxfordshire. The destroyed building will be replaced with a new palace spread on 1130 m2, according to The Telegraph.
Clarkson bought the mansion in 2012 for £ 4.2 million. In June this year, authorities issued a permit for the building to be knocked down. Instead calling bulldozers, “as it would have done any normal person,” the host hired a company for demolition with explosives according to neighbors. They were informed for the upcoming blast at the evening before the explosion, which described as “typical Clarkson behavior.”
The project for the new star‘s home includes a cinema in the basement, conservatory, playroom in the attic, garage for five cars, a place for ATV-s, stables, six bedrooms and five bathrooms.
Jeremy Clarkson was fired from Top Gear in March last year after beating one of the producers of the show. Currently, Jeremy and both his screen partners Richard Hammond and James May are finishing the first season of their new broadcast The Grand Tour, which will be available on Amazon Prime.
