If you haven’t seen Jeremy Clarkson when he was on Top Gear you might not know that he is a bit open about telling people what he likes and doesn’t like in cars. One can hope that he will bring that to his new show on Amazon, Grand Tour. However he did make a list of 10 cars that are truly horrible and according to Mr. Clarkson “shouldn’t be considered forms of transportation”.
These cars made it into a list he put together for The Sunday Times. Now of course some of these cars will be shocking choices, others most everyone will agree with. A few of these have even received quite a bit of praise from other sources. Without any further delay here is Jezza’s list.
Nissan GT-R Track Edition
While he enjoyed the regular version of this ride, the track edition doesn’t impress him. He said that ride was far too stiff and is dangerous to drive on the street.
BMW X1 xDrive25d
Mr. Clarkson has said that many people will look at this and think that since it has that BMW badge on the back it will be a good car. However in Mr. Clarkson’s eyes they will be disappointed
Infinite Q30 Premium Tech
Well the Jezza is not really a fan of any of the vehicles found from Infinite. He said “The cars have always been ho-hum and have been sold to people in America who are too interested in food and the baby Jesus to notice they are tarted-up datsuns”.
Zenos E10 S
While at first glance this looks like a stripped down sports car that any petrol-head would love, Jeremy would disagree. While they no radio, no windshield and so on look might work for others, he said “I have encountered better equipped pencils”.
Volkswagen Scirocco 2.0 TDI
Now most of the time he really likes Volkswagon cars. To the point that he owned one of the first generation Sciroccos. The updates don’t make him ready to buy a new one, they more make him think “I wanted a Golf GTI”
Renault Kadjar Signature Nav
This one gets lumped into Mr. Clarkson’s dislike of boring cars. He voices his doubt that anyone out there will want to own or drive this vehicle.
Vauxhall Astra SRi Nav
This one didn’t get many words and none of them good. He did say “ It would be fine for anyone needing four wheels and a place to sit while moving about”. Not really high praise there.
Skoda Superb SE L Executive
This one Jezza just found boring and compared it to a freezer. Not the kind of thing that you would really want to take out for a drive.
SEAT Leon X-Perience SE Technology
His feeling can be summed up when he said “easily the most nondescript waste of metal, glass and plastic since Microsoft’s Kin phone.”
And to round out our list I’ll leave you with this review “I would rather apply sun cream to James May’s back than travel again in the Hyundai i800”.
